I use felt sheets----mostly black and charcoal----for collage projects. They are just about perfect because they accept Elmers glue as the adhesive, without losing their shape, and without allowing the glue to seep through.Once I apply the glue and wait less than a minute, the felt adheres to the substrate beautifully. I can even stretch it a bit to work out any wrinkles (unless I want the wrinkles). Plus, the felt is perfect for "grunging up" with conte crayons, acrylic paint, acrylic ink, and even olive oil (if I want to acheive a particularly grungy look). I use these felt sheets for hats and coats on three-dimensional figures that I arrange in collages. The figures represent homeless street dwellers; the felt gives me just the look I want to acheive. Great product for art, crafts, and most definitely for puppetry for anyone who is into that.
