My bonus son LOVES his new art table!! It's so awesome that his mom said she wants one for a work desk!BUT we had a shipping issue... the first table was delivered looking like it went through a deadly obstacle course and barely survived. There was shattered glass everywhere ?They replaced the table super fast! The new one arrived before the shipping company picked up the broken table!!!I'm very impressed with how quickly they handled the problem.I was back and forth about whether to give this product a 3 or 4 star rating. In the end, I decided to go with 4-stars because I got it for function and it functions. The actual drawing surface is 35.375" x 23.75" (not the advertised 35.5" x 24"). This mattered to me because I have 18"x24" paper and specifically picked this studio desk to accommodate that paper in portrait orientation. I work in engineering; when you talk about usable space, you don't state nominal or round up. But whatever, it was close. And this desk was actually cheaper than the other one I was looking at and has overall more surface space.3-stars: Assembly was not that intuitive. But you only do it once. I would have done things in a different order, labeled the actual pieces better and use all the same size wench nuts, but I got it together alone without drawing blood, hurting myself, or breaking something. You will need a size 10 (mm) combination wrench, rubber mallet, and Philips screw driver in addition to the tools that come with this. The mallet is specifically for the rubber drawers.***Parts were missing*** The pencil tray I received was not the one advertised on the box or on the Amazon image/ad. This tray is unusable; pretty sure it doesn't even go with this model as the holes for screws don't line up with the ones on the frame. One of the screws had no threads. I was missing several clear plastic pieces for suspending the tempered glass surface. (Contacting the seller to see if I can get the missing parts. Will update to 5-stars if I get these parts. And comment as much.)Accessories: I don't care for the trays on the side or the "rubber made" drawers hanging on the frame. Would have paid the same price for the studio desk without those present. Their absence would have made assembly easier. If you aren't purchasing this for those items, I suggest you skip putting them on. It will make your life easier and the studio desk more minimalistic.I like it. My son helped me stock it up and then used it all day to paint and draw while I worked, he's 10. The surface was easy to clean, no wobbling, holds the incline, easy to change incline, liking it more than I thought I would when I purchased it. A good height for him and me. Didnt think I would like the wheel (there is a feet option), but wheels are proving to be extremely useful. Considering getting my son his own. (Yes, I would buy this again.) I mounted a lamp and webcam stand to it. Everything is functioning properly, safely, and securely.I had purchased this table for the purpose of getting back into drawing with a dedicated space that I can easily move around. I also chose this one for the 3 plastic drawers for storage. Unfortunately, when the desk arrive, the box was pretty beat up and the UPS driver had made a note in case of damage. Opening the box, everything seemed to be in tact, except the 3 drawers were badly damaged/cracked/broken. I contact Studio Designs direct and received a fairly quick response. Due to some miscommunication, I hadn't heard back on status. I reached out again and received a phone call I requested within a few hours of the email. The rep was very nice and assured me a replacement set of drawers was being sent out. A few days later, they arrived. I don't blame them for the damage, so I give 5 stars for the quality of the desk and the support for supplying replacement parts. I highly recommend this to anyone want to have an easy to move around, solid table to draw on or whatever else you might use it for. Assembly was easy and the instructions were very clear on how to assemble, which is getting rare these days. The only gripe I might have on the design, is the fact that if you adjust the table to an incline, you have to have your drawing medium either taped on, or make a ridge at the bottom so it doesn't slide off the table. Other than that, I have no complaints. So, maybe a simple design add on would be to include a removable/adjustable tab system to engage when table is tilted to hold things from sliding off.It took me way longer to assemble (3 or more hours) because the screws and bolts etc were not well labeled. The packaging on them is backwards. Hard to explainSone screwed really small hard to handle. Could not install the little drawers- plastic a bit warped and screws too short. It’s ok for the money.I ordered this table and was hard to assemble, then when I was done assembling it, the paper that I am trying to draw on isn’t staying on the table when I tilted the table to a certain angle. Can someone please let me know how to keep the drawing on the table without it slipping off?So the desk itself is awesome! It feels great. The wheels help a lot moving it around. The reviews constantly said they had received it with brown. Parts like the glass and stuff. I was worried my glass would arrive shattered but the glass was well packed in a box inside the box with padding. However the three drawer case within the box was broken..the top part and top drawer was cracked and makes me wonder if it was broken before it was placed into the box. The instructions were fine and I feel it’s pretty self explanatory assembly. Everything went together good especially the stool. This is a great deal just waiting to hear back from the company for my new drawer pieces.Perfect for small space and holding up great. I received this a few days ago as a birthday present for my girlfriend who does a lot of craft work. On opening the box I was disappointed by the initial look of the parts, the metal is very thin and the screws and bolts all come in one box sealed in different numbered parts that don't correspond with the part they are needed for. However as it's a gift I began assembling it but ran into a few problems...Firstly one of the plastic caps on the end of the chair legs was broken. This means I now have a wobbly chair. I put it together before I realized and I have to say if I saw this chair in a store I'd probably pay about $5 for it. It's awful, the look and quality is cheap as the bolts don't sit flush and to adjust the height you need to disassemble each leg and re-bolt it at a different level.Secondly as I was bolting the table together I noticed that the metal frame was bending slightly around the bolt before the bolts were even tight. This goes back to my point about the quality.Thirdly there's very cheap looking little plastic catches for the storage bins to latch onto, these catches are secured with a single screw... which doesn't actually fit the pre drilled holes. Try to force it in and tighten it and the screw gets stripped very easily. Again goes back to my point on quality. At this point I gave up the assembly and decided that my girlfriend could decide if she actually wanted it. She did not. She said she'd have been better off with a cheap folding table that would cost literally a couple of hundred dollars less as it would hold up better. This is the single worst purchase I've ever made from Amazon and I'm severely disappointed with the quality of an item that cost almost $250 after tax. I plan on returning this item and I'd recommend to everyone to consider whether this product is actually worth it. If I had saw this in advance assembled in a store I'd have probably thought it was worth about $70, not $217.First, let's start with my first order. I bought it like a month in advance for my daughter B-Day. I leave the box in the garage for COVID-19 precaution and when finally decide to ensemble, the box that was full original from factory, missed the instruction manual and some indispensable parts. Long story short, need to re-box and return it. I start to feel it was bad idea for the lack of QA control. As was a gift, I decided to reorder again and give another shot. The box this time arrive completed, but after a very unfriendly ensemble process (this is not IKEA), I have to say that I'm not impress, here why:- For a $300 item, I was expecting something more robust and adjustable. All part are cheap and the final appearance is like a craft table for a 7 years old kid. You can't adjust the height of the table and is very, very low point to use.- It lack of a simple way to hold your canvas or paper when the table is open. Now I need to search something else.- It's dangerous to close the table. You can crush your fingers or kids can have a very bad accident if they try to close the glass top without proper supervision. The mechanism it not clear and unsafe and that is the mos concern part, the table side and marketing is oriented to young people.Update 07/06/2020:- After ask for a replacement and full armed, my daughter found very small to used it. I returned again. Conclusion, very very toy table for a super priceel restirador es como descrito, me gusto mucho pero desafortunadamente uno de los cajones esta roto. no se como contactar al vendedor para que me reemplacen esa pieza.
