The figures are made out of just paper pipes with pre-drilled holes and marks to cut, fold, and connect the pipes without the need of glue or tape. I have now put together four Piperoid character sets. They are mechanically very simple but well designed and made. Though I am an old guy with lots of childlike tendencies and time on my hands, I would think that modern day children, maybe as young as 6, would find these fun and engrossing. The characters seem modern. the sets (one larger and one smaller robotic figure) fit into small envelopes, and only require a good pair of scissors to aid in the assembly. The price seems about right.The concept for this toy is really cute and the assembly is easy. I spent maybe 20 minutes putting this together with my 7 year old. The characters are made using four paper tubes which we had to cut and fold.This is definitely not worth the price, especially considering it's all made out of paper.These were a gift for my great grandchildren. They seemed to really like them.
